Print Date

The Print Date metadata never changes (see Figure 7).  This displays the last time this document was printed and does cannot be changed (unless you print it again). and cannot be changed.  Duping and revising only perpetuates this metadata property.  Notice in Figure 7 that the Print date is six years older than the created date.

Metadata Risk

The last printed date is perhaps the most innocuous metadata risk in a Microsoft Word document. Most users never notice this metadata element until its too late.  This date discrepancy may have to be explained during the discovery process. The only way to remove the Print Date is to use a document metadata management application. We recommend iScrub.  iScrub will remove this property during the metadata scrub process.
